Video inside shape in another video?
on Dec 11, 2011 at 1:23:12 pm

Right this is the situation:

I have a video of me walking and i pass a blank billboard. What I want to do is put another video into that billboard space (so it looks like it is the billboard) and then also have it move along with the billboard as I walk.

Now I tried using the keyer thing and green screen but this only keeps the added video static. I want it to move along with the main video.

How would I do this?

Motion Tracking.
You can start here:

Thank you!! Can I just ask, what's the difference between using Final Cut X and using Motion? Do they do the same thing? Can I start a project in one and then move to the other?

You normally use FC for cutting and working with few layers and not too complex effects and animations.
Works with tracks and in each track you can put as many clips as you want.
Motion is normally used for shorter things with more layers with more complex animation.
Work with layers and in each layer you can put just one clip, so no too good editing.
Normally you edit in FC and send to Motion Motion sections of your sequence that need more work in compositing.
Similar that you do with Adobe Premier and AfterEffects.
