I have been using FCP for a decade and no matter which route I will take in the future - going to FCP X (unlikely) oder switching to a different program (likely) - I won't be able to access my old projects in the long term. Yet, there are situations in which I need to access and alter projects that might be years old. For that reason I have been thinking about program independent archival and I would like your input on this. How would you archive your old FCP projects so that they can (hopefully) be accessed by more or less any editing program in the future? I am aware that there will be limits to the degree to which this is possible, but I am certain that there have to be useful and interesting approaches to this problem nonetheless.
By the way, I have gone tapeless long ago and almost all of my source footage is archived on hard drives.
