could not open handler system memory is probably low.

Hi,
I have Final Cut Pro7 running on the following machine.
Processor 2 x 2.66 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon
Memory 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC
Graphics ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024 MB
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7 (11A511.
Plus I have 3 Hard drive of 1TB (500GB free) + 2TB (155GB free) + 2TB (290GB free.
Right now I am editing huge amount of data with multiple formats (sony ex3 footage + canon5D footage + Sony NEX Cam Footage) together. I have made all the different timelines of all the different types of footage. And then made one main timeline of Apple Pro Res422 to insert all the required footage according to my edit.
Now my question is that uptill now everything was working fine, and I have completed about 75% of my edit, but just since last 5 days I am getting this following message when I try to load my main construction file "could not open handler system memory is probably low". I tried to restart the machine many times, used Disk warrior program to optimize the hard drive but still not able to fix the problem.
Can anyone help me please. Looking forward to hear from someone soon.

Is the 5D footage H264 or have you converted it to an editing codec? And the Sony NEX Cam also needs to be converted preferably like the 5D to ProRes422.

Also how big is your project file?

5D footage is log and transferred to Pro Res422 and Sony NX footage is also converted.

Then a likely culprit might be the sheer size of the project file.

Again, how big is your project? Copy your final timeline sequence into a new empty ProRes project and see if that helps.

Another trick is to split the project into manageable reels so that one sequence isn't too big to open.
