Location of Transitions and Effects

I'm working on this computer with final cut 7, there are all sorts of cool free effects and transitions loaded into the system (ones that don't come standard with FCP.) I want to take some of them to my system at home. How do I do this? Is there a specific folder they are located in on the hard drive? I just want to dump them onto my external but I can't seem to find them. Please help.

[Bob Davies] "there are all sorts of cool free effects and transitions loaded into the system (ones that don't come standard with FCP.)"

How do you know they are free? There are lots of paid plugins and effects out there too.

Find out what those plugins are, and then search the web for them. Like Eureka Free, Too Much Too Soon...those are free. Find them, download them.

That would be stealing. If there are non-free ones in there, and you grabbed them along with the ones that might be free. So do the right thing and get the free ones from the source...the web!

You sound like you make a living selling these things for $100 a pop. Please just tell me how to move them from one system to another. Some of them are home made and not available for purchase anywhere. I am not going to waste my time hunting these down online. I don't have time for that.

[Bob Davies] "You sound like you make a living selling these things for $100 a pop."

I'm not. But I know many people who do. MANY people. Who earn their living making plugins. So, you'd like it if people took that video you edited, worked hard on, and just took it from you to use as they pleased, and not pay you anything? Hmmmmmm.....

[Bob Davies] "Please just tell me how to move them from one system to another. "

Make me. ;)

Such as? Can you give me the names of these plugins?

[Bob Davies] " I am not going to waste my time hunting these down online. I don't have time for that."

If you had done that instead of replied to this post, you'd have found them by now. Or...again, tell me what they are and I can see if I have links for them. I have links for TONS of free plugins...

Well I'm not here to get in an argument with you about the ethics of software piracy, because frankly this isn't about that. Even though I highly doubt you've gone your entire career without using a single transition/sound effect/plugin you didn't pay for or have permission to use. Get off your high horse my friend.

Look, I simply want to know how to get my effects from one computer's FCP to another so I don't have to waste my time finding the same one's online and installing each one separately. If you don't want to give me that info than please step aside.

Thanks for the links, Shane. Found a couple I had missed...and so easy to install.
