ProREs to DVC Pro HD
on Nov 9, 2011 at 10:48:22 am

Hi
I am finishing a programme edited in ProRes, that needs to played out onto DVC Pro HD. Is ok to leave the sequence as ProRes to edit to tape, or do i need to alter the settings to DVC Pro HD and change the size/pixel aspect etc?

thanks
nick

Hi Nick,
If you are printing through FW you will need to play a proper DVCProHD sequence.
If is through an IO card, the desk would take care of the new geometry.

The BM will put 1920x1080 10b Unc through the the SDI or components.
The VTR has a video IN to convert that to the size and codec of the format.
