audio files and fcp 6
on Oct 24, 2011 at 6:46:22 pm

I received some audio cards from set & when I attempt to bring them into final cut I receive an error message. I don't know what the audio was recorded on.
The error message reads "Please choose a translation document file"
It takes me in an endless cycle of error messages.
In the subfolders there are .WAVs & XML files along with 1 .tpt file.

How can I bring in the audio to final cut pro 6 so I can begin syncing?

Firstly the cards need to be copied to a hard drive. Then the usual file import pointing to the wav files should do the trick. But with no info on how you are attempting to import it is hard to diagnose.

Also read Matt Lyons tutorial on importing audio assets before you import into FCP as it has important info to make sure the frame rate stamped onto the files matches the sequence you will be editing with.

The second half deals with import. The first half gives the way to correct files that have been imported incorrectly and edited into a sequence.
