used hpx170 shot 1080i 30p
what setting should I use to log and transfer into FCP I want the best quality sorry just got the camera and FCP... been a avid guy in my past life...

The footage will only come in one way...the way you shot it. Log and Transfer will basically just marry the Video and Audio MXF files and wrap them into a Quicktime file. They'll be DVCPRO HD 1080i 29.97. Native quality, zero loss.

Thank you shane. It was very helpful. One last question does the hpx do 1080p i only see 1080i in the choices...

It does. 1080i 24pA is 23.98 with pulldown.
