Transferring to FCP from a Sony Handycam HDR-CX560V

The footage looks and sounds fine on the camera. It was shot at 60i on a Sony Handycam HDR-CX560V.

I went through the FCP Log and Transfer window. The footage transferred sped up (when I slowed it down to about 70% it almost matched, so it's not transferring 60 frames to 30 frames - perhaps some kind of 3/2-pulldown?). The audio comes in at the right speed, but gets cut off when the video ends; so even if I were to play with the frame-rate of the image, I would still be loosing audio.

I've read the Sony cameras are not compatible with FCP, but this is what I've been given to work with. Is there any way around this?
