Cannor reinstall FCP 4 - Fails hardware check.

Ok, firstly sorry if this subject has already been covered, I did look at the forums but couldn't find an answer to my problem.

I have a mini mac,
Running 10.6.7
Processer 2GH Intel core 2 duo.
Memory 1 GB 667 MHZ
Quick Time 10.
44.9 GB of hard drive space.

Right the problem, have been running FCP4 fine on this mini mac for about two years, then just stopped opening, just wont open at all, thought ok reinstall, but every time I try I get an error stating I fail the min hardware check, even though its the same machine as two years ago? only changes have been, upgraded quick time and upgraded to snow Leopard OSX, however that was six months ago and FCP was ok with this and worked fine, problem only started two weeks ago, any clues or suggestions would really help, thanks.

A more powerful computer using the latest FCS 3 (if you can find it) will help.

You are using the bare minimum requirements and using a very very very old version of FCP. FCP 4 should not be able to run on your system. You need v5.14 and above.

I gotta wonder if your RAM is going bad and the hardware check is not finding enough real or virtual memory space to work from.

Right, sounds plausible to me, is there some way to check this? and if right correct it?other then changing the ram, if that's even possable.
