FCP (stop motion film, uncompressed AVI, compression problems)
on Apr 27, 2011 at 8:29:15 am

Hello,
I need some serious help... I have a stop motion film that I exported from Stop Motion Pro in a series of uncompressed 1080x720 avi clips. After a few hours of trying to convert them into .movs so I could import them into FCP, I realized that what I was trying to do was all wrong. I was using the wrong codecs (first h264, then prores 422-but it didn't seem to like it because my clips weren't a standard size), etc... Is there any way possible I can covert these avi clips into something workable in FCP? Should I downsize the clips so that they are a standard format: 720x480? How could I do this/what type of compression should I use?
omg please help... having panic attack...
