FCP Multi-Clip Compressor Codec recommendation
on Apr 13, 2011 at 9:57:40 pm

Hello, I would like to know if there is a "recommended ProRes422LT settings" when wanting to
use Compressor and limit the size of the output file and the time it take (2-6hours) for Compressor to change the codec.??. I have two formats that I want to make the same so I can use Multi-clip editing in FCP/.
The first file is 1440x1080 29/97 HDV 1080i60. The Second file is a 1920x1080/29.97/Apple ProREs422 file. Now I know I want to down convert the ProRes file to the 1440x1080 format. Right?
This is s for DVD release only.
I have been experiementing with ths setup

One more question..
I have more files to Log and TRansfer. Is there a way to Log and TRansfer my media files so that they will end up matching for multi Clip Editing in FC? Hence skipping the Logging and Transferring time then taking them to Compressor to make all in the same format?
