Most practical method to convert from ProRes to AVCHD

Hey everyone,

I have an FCP edit that uses ProRes encoded footage. I would like to know the quickest and most efficient method to get from FCP to an AVCHD file (preferably .m2ts or .mkv). Thanks.

Michael

I want to convert/render my FCP project to an AVCHD file (such as .m2ts or .mkv). I know that FCP can't do AVCHD natively so I'm looking for the best method to get from point A (my FCP edit) to point B (the final AVCHD) while maintaining the quality as much as possible.

But please tell us where that avchd file is going.

Thanks.

[Michael MacInnis] "Sorry, it will be burned to a Blu Ray disc."
You should have started by there.
You can use Compressor to convert your movie to H264 or MPEG-2 Blu-ray compliant.
Then you will need Toast, Adobe Encore or similar to author the disk.
Search for Blu-ray in this forum.; you will find all the info.

Also,
File:Share function will create BD files for you from your sequence.
