Final Cut Pro 7 - Change the speed to the entire timeline/sequence
on Mar 14, 2011 at 1:16:11 pm

Hi.
Im a beginner at Final Cut Pro, i know how to change the speed of a clip but,
today i added in the sequence 2 clips, i added an inicial crossfade and a final clip crossfade... between each two clips, i applied a crossfade too. Then i rendered the crossfades...

Now, when i select the two clips, and apply the change speed to 3500% for example... Final Cut Pro
is changing just the first clip, the second one, stays intact in the same place..
How can i make the entire sequence (40minutes) have +/- 1m30s = +/- 3500% speed change forward ?

FCP can only change a single clip at a time. However you can export a sequence of clips as a self contained movie, reimport it, and then apply a speed change to the whole sequence.

Also, if you nest the sequence into another sequence, then you can apply a speed adjustment to the entire sequence.
