Clips won't play in viewer??
on Mar 7, 2011 at 7:08:41 pm

Hi

I have a clip saved to my desktop, when I double click it it plays fine but when I import it into FCP it won't play in the viewer. I dropped it into my timeline and pressed play but it won;t play there either. It plays the audio but only shows the first frame of video and no more, like the picture has frozen but the audio is fine.

Does anyone know what this problem might be? Here are the clip details:

Kind: Quicktime Movie
Size: 478.7 MB
Dimensions: 720 x 480
Codecs: Linear PCM H.264
Color Profile: SD (6-1-6)
Audio Channels: 2
Total Bit Rate: 6,446

Thanks you for any help,
Michelle

H.264. Do not edit with it. It is problematic...now you see one of the possible issues.

Convert all H.264 materials to ProRes...edit with ProRes.
