Hi, I´m writing from Argentina.
before all, I apologize for my english!
This is my problem: I´m working on a documentary feature film, which was shooted in HDV most of all (there is a little bit of DV; DVX-100 footage).
when I entered the project, all the material have been digitalized, and the project was already set up working natively in HDV. (all the material and the sequence settings were set up in HDV 1080i50).
now the project is finishing and I have to prepare it to delivery a theatrical print; and when I export a TIFF sequence, all the images are with the wrong aspect ratio! I know this is an issue caused by the anamorphic pixel of HDV, but how can I solve this??
I thought of doing a prores export in 1080x1920, 25p and then export the tiff sequence after that, but i´m not really sure that´s the right workflow.

No. You need to end up in 1920x1080p25 squared pixels.
So open a new sequence:
- 1920 x 1080 SQ pixels
- Field dominance NONE
- Copy all from the HDV sequence and paste it. The picture won't fit on the new canvas.
- Select the footage and Remove Attributes> Basic motion + Distort. Now the picture will fit.
- Set "Render in High Precision" and "Render Motion Effects: BEST".
The movie should be ready to convert to TIFF sequence.
