dual stream capture
on Feb 14, 2011 at 3:33:40 pm

Hi

I have a bunch of HDcamSR tapes that have been shot in 3d dual stream.

The offline edit will be happening on FCP, but they wish to be able to monitor on a 3d monitor. My first question relates to what hardware/software is required to capture the dual stream, so we are able to separate the left and the right eyes into 2 Quicktimes?

Any help is much appreciated.

Neil

To get the best 3D editing experience in FCP, you'll want to use Cineform's Neo 3D codec with a Kona 3 or 3G card from AJA. With Cineform, the dual stream or HDMI output from the Kona can be seen on a 3d monitor in real time.
