JPEG stills sequence problem
on Dec 17, 2010 at 11:05:26 am

I've been sent an animation (as a sequence of jpeg stills) to turn into a video. They look fine as stills, however in a rendered sequence (best settings) they alias quite badly. There is quite a lot of fine detail, so I've tried gaussian blur & movement blur as filters, & motion blur, but it still looks a bit rough.
Any ideas please?

What format is your sequence? You're probably getting the most you can out of the media? Your monitoring of the rendered output is probably too good.

Stills are 1024 x 575. Sequence is PAL 720 x 576 anamorphic.

One line off. Try converting it to video in Compressor.

No, use Compressor of the QT pro player to convert it to a QuickTime movie.
