Final cut solow to open on one specific machine
on Nov 3, 2010 at 9:10:10 pm

Hey all i have a project and admittedly its a large one over 100mb but im finding that it could take an hour to open on one system then if i take it on its drive to a different computer (an imac) with the same version of final cut (7.0.3) its opening in a matter of minutes without any issues. any ideas what might cause this the only difference is that one system has keylight on it and the other dose not. any ideas help would be appreciated. thanks

Jesse

If you have a lot of drives daisy chained together, or files spread out over multiple raids, or shared drives/raids on a network, FCP may be searching all over creation for your media.

Do other projects open fine on the computer in question? What about opening FCP with no project?
