MPEG files

Hello,

I'm putting together a banquet DVD for a local football team which includes video clips & pics. They gave me a hard drive with all of the
info on it. The video files look like they came from a cam that records to an HD and in MPEg2 format. (I uploaded a screen grab of the clip properties) Funny thing is that all the clips have no sound & look wavy when viewed? Any ideas?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,
probably those MPEGs have the audio embed (MP2) and FC can not play it.
Use MPGStreamclip and convert the files to QT. The best option may be Prores.

Thanks for the advice, & I'll try that. Not familiar with Prores, how do I proceed?

In MPEGStreamclip select "Export to Quick Times".
Keep all the original setting of your MPEG-2 (size, pixels, field order) and select Prores as the codec.
Select PCM audio, (16b/48Khz).
