fcp7 - unrendered problem
on Oct 6, 2010 at 2:24:54 pm

Hi all,
I've just started to play with such powerful tool, and I already have a problem...
I am trying to create a video composed of hundreds of sequence shots, in a kind of stop motion trend, but when I pass them (around 400 pics) to the timeline I see that no more than about 180 pics can achieve the rendering..

The result is that I can see a preview (veeery nice one) but after some seconds, that is after almost 200 pics, I get a statement on the screen saying:
UNRENDERED..

Does anybody know how to solve that?

The pics weights 2MB, I tried to compress them in order to see if the rendering goes further but it doesn't change, exactly after the same number of pics it fails..

Maybe it is a very stupid problem, but as I said I just started!

Another thing, does anybody know what is the lower bound for the still image duration? Can I play with hundredths of second?

Thanks in advance!

Greetings

Marco

Hi Marcos,
Look in the Preferences for the "Still cache" and rise the amount.

I tried, and it's even worse :(, it renders only 10 pictures (before was rendering 180 approximately)

I went to System Settings -> Memory & Cache and the settings were:

Memory Usage
Applications: 100% (2560 MB)
Still Cache: 10% (241 MB)

Thumbnail Cache
DISK: 8192 K
RAM:512 K

So I rised the Still Cache percentage to 100% (2041 MB) and the result was even worse...

What do you think?
Anyway, thanks for replying!

Marco
