Recently I attempted to make add in some additional footage and end credits for a completed feature length project. All things seemed fine and were in working order. However, after a final render, I saved the project, but then discovered that 1/2 - 2/3's of the project has become out of sync. I've tried everything imaginable to fix the issue, and being not too accomplished an editor - more producer/director than editor - I'm at a loss as what to do to fix the problem? I don't want to go frame by frame, and need a solution. I was told by someone that there is a global sync in FCP 6, but how do I apply this approach?
To begin, thank you for taking the time to respond to my query/plight. Unfortunately, I am a neophyte - particularly in the language of... - editing. I've been fortunate enough to have worked with & have had great editors work with me on numerous projects. As such, I've been applying what seems more intuitive than anything "formal" terms of my training/skill set.
If you can clarify how best to answer your questions, I'll pursue and respond post haste.

Thank you for clarifying. Would changing my render set up from H.264 to Pro Res also have the same result? If not, leaving the Pro Res setting as the desired means should alleviate this from occurring in the future?
It turns out that the solution posed only works on 1/3 of the project, roughly the first 27 mins. However, there's an additional 44 mins that are still out of sync. For the record, I applied your solution via way of FCP by altering the settings and re-rendering the entire project. That being said, I'm now in the process or importing the entire project via way of compressor in the hope that this will fix the entire project. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again.
