Library Footage Database Software

I am starting to reach the point where I am stockpiling a lot of footage for one of my clients.

Can anybody recommend a database process or software that I can use to keep track of all of this stuff (Mac). Google ain't helping me.

A lot of the footage is very similar so I need something that will help me keep it straight and be able to find the right footage for future projects. I need to be able to assign keywords as there are scenes that will work in 3 or 4 different queries.

Actually now that I think about it...I have two needs. One to keep track of the archives of the original raw footage (from SxS cards archived to hard drives and disc images of 7d footage) as well as individual sequences B-roll stuff actually used in past projects.

Thanks, MP

Thanks.

I had alway perceived FC server as something completely different. It is, of course, an ideal (albeit complicated) solution for what I need - in a couple of years.

In the interim...any other solutions that have a lower investment?
