The movie file cannot be found...
on Sep 1, 2010 at 2:49:06 pm

I've been searching the internet and I've been finding problems similar to mine but not exact. I was clearing out some old render files and I believe I may have deleted some reference files because now when I try to open up a project I get the error "The movie file 'Sequence 1-FIN-000000f8-v.mov1' cannot be found. Without this file, the movie cannot play properly." And then there is about a hundred more that follow. By the time I cancel search through all of them and get to my project, it unexpectedly quits. So I have no way of opening my project. Is there any suggestions? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you!

Try this:
In the same folder and using the same capture scratch & render settings locations as the project in question, make a new project file. Open the Render Manager. You should also see twirl-downs for the problem project. Use the render manager to get rid of all the stuff that shows up in that project.
