I can't remember after taking a week long Training Class on FCP if AVCHD format is a good format and if it is good to use with FCP? Is it a good Format for a FCP Workflow? Thank you ahead time for your answers!

Chad,

The footage needs to be transcoded to ProRes via FCP Log and Transfer. I use a Panasonic HMC-150 camera. The workflow is very efficient.

Sure. I know many people who shoot AVCHD. Just use Log and Transfer to bring it in as ProRes LT or ProRes 422, then edit. Now, some cameras work better than others. The Panasonic line is fully compatible, while the newer SOny NXCAM cameras are new, and present problems.

The canon camera footage transcodes quickly too.
