Anyone would know why Video Filters/Perspective/Flop would be de-activated?

I know it's probably a very simple answer... but i'm scratching my head

Thanks!

A clip in the sequence needs to be selected first.

Yep - clip is selected in the sequence. When I choose Effects>Video Filters>Perspective:

Basic 3D / Curl & Flop are disabled.

Mirror & Rotate are enabled.

The timeline window also has to be active (just in case)

Try dragging it from the effects tab in the Browser to the clip.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate all the ideas but I know how to apply a filter. For some reasons, the 3 mentioned are greyed out while all the other filters are available to use.

Any ideas?

Thanks again.

Sounds like a funky installation, or maybe the filters have gone into corruption land or something... you can't apply them from the filters tab then?

No I can't. I think you are probably right - corruption.

The best way then to do this is in Motion and send it back...

Just wanted to give an update on this issue:

I installed some new FCP plugins and somehow, the flop effects was enabled again.

Not sure what the problem was but installing new plugins resolved it.
