best way to scale (enlarge) footage in FCP 7?
on Jun 2, 2010 at 3:49:41 pm

Hi!

I filmed with a Panasonic AG-HPX171E in DVCPRO HD 720p50 on P2 cards.
I am using FCP 7.

I need to scale (enlarge) some of the footage up to 250%. I know that this will reduce the quality considerably.

1. What are the best settings in FCP (which codec, other settings) to get the best result?

2. Are there any Apple or other software tools which have a better scaling algorithm than FCP?

3. I read something about "super-resolution" algorithms. Any tools based on that?

Thanks!

Susie

Apple's Motion, for one....

Check out a plugin called Instant HD from Red Giant Software.
