convert premiere pro project to FCP?
on Jun 1, 2010 at 11:10:32 pm

anybody know if this is possible via automatic duck or some other workflow? I have a client that wants to move his project to my fcp and he has some basic effects on his clips (letterobox, color correction, etc.).

thanks,

mike

Export an AAF or OMF from Premiere.

Use the Automatic Duck to open the project in FCP.

You can also try exporting an EDL and see if that opens correctly in FCP.

With Premiere Pro CS5, you can export your project as FCP XML and then import it directly into FCP.

Most do not, but the cross dissolve does along with basic transforms (scale, position, etc.).

Hope this helps,
Dennis
