Multiclip Issue: One Clip Not Anamorphic
on May 7, 2010 at 6:04:17 pm

Hi Guys,
I have walked into an edit session where I'm supposed to clean up the timeline and do some color correction.

The editor has completed the edit, but one angle in the Multiclip is not displaying as anamorphic. How would I get this one angle to return to anamorphic? Surely there must be a way.

By the way, this is a BLACK SABBATH concert video - all you metalheads.

Since it's Ozzy...

copy and pasted attributes? Might work, probably not, but ya never know.

collapse the mutlticlip, and match frame/replace after making sure the anamorphic checkbox is on?

The clips are processing now. What I tried is this:
1. Make sure that Anamorphic is checked for all clips in the Browsr
2. Load Multiclip in Viewer
3. Reveal clip in Browser
4. Drag back to corresponding angle
5. Pop up shows: Add angle or replace affilliates
6. Choose replace affiliates
7. Wait.

I'll let you know what happens in around 20 minutes. It's "cooking".

FCP Crashed and it took SO long to do this function. Jerry, you had the better idea.

1. Collapse multiclips
2. Reset Distort for one of the problematic clips
3. Copy the Clip
4. Paste Attributes to all other clips.

DONE

Now the question becomes... can you uncolloapse them? Try it on a copy of the sequence of course.
