DVDPROHD files in Quicktime
on May 6, 2010 at 7:40:23 pm

I have an interesting dilemma. A production house has sent me DVDPROHD video files on CD that Quicktime will not open for the video. When started, the file only plays the audio. I've checked the video's properties in Quicktime and it shows that it's in 720/60 format. I've downloaded a drive from Apple and a drive from Panasonic, and neither made a difference. I used Wondershare to see if they needed conversion even though their extension is .MOV. That had no effect other than the screen was green instead of black. I tried to open the file in Final Cut Pro Express, and the background was white with only audio.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Roger

Thanks, Chris. The production house is going to convert the file to another format for me. Wondershare won't handle it.
