Newbie timeline/sequence mistake...HELP!
on Apr 13, 2010 at 4:34:08 pm

I have a number of sequences in a FCP project. My lack of hard
knowledge has caused inconsistencies in the way each sequence was
created from a settings standpoint. Im now trying to drag a bunch
of sequences together on a new timeline to get a feel for what the
final piece will be in regards to timing and flow.

I need to get all timelines "equal".

To further complicate this, I shot with 3 different cameras that had
different settings as well. So the clips within each sequence are not
the same...but THEY DO run well during playback on the canvas after
rendering.

My fingers are crossed that all the sequences are correctable and can
be reformatted to match each other.

The following are the timeline settings for the 3 different ones Im
wrestling with:

1- Frame Size (FS)= 1920 X 1080 HDTV 1080i 16:9
Pixel aspect= square
Editing Timebase= 23.98

2- FS= 720 X 480
Pixel aspect= NTSC CLIR 60/DV 720 X 480 3:2
Field Dominance= Lower
Editing Timebase= 29.97

3- FS= 960 X 720 16:9
Pixel aspect= HD (960 X 720)
Editing timebase= 23.98

ALL CLIPS ARE APPLE PRO RES 422 HQ.

Some of the sequences DO drag onto the timeline...others get an error
message and does not allow any OTF conversions.
