Subframe Audio Editing - Possible for entire source video?
on Mar 17, 2010 at 5:41:55 pm

Hi Experts,

I've ran into a tedious little problem with some out of sync audio on one of my source uploads. I was an idiot and didn't notice the sync issue until now, and the project is nearly finished. I no longer have access to the tapes to do a re-upload, so I need to work with the out of sync clip I have.

I know how to slide on the subframe scale for an individual clip. However, I was curious if there's a way to slide the audio for the entire source .mov file. There are about 20 or so clips affiliated with this .mov file in the film, so it would be much easier to take care of the problem at its source.

Thanks so much for the help,

Wes

Offhand, the only way I can think of would be placing the master clip in a timeline. Change the start timecode of the sequence to the start timecode of the master clip. Do the fix, then export as a QuickTime. Now reconnect the master clip in the browser to the new exported clip using the Reconnect Media command.
