2nd Default Transitions?

Is there a way to set a 2nd default, in addition to command-T for transitions, so you can quickly throw down either a 1 sec or 10 frame dissolve?

You can drag both transitions to a bin in the browser (just drag the transition from the timeline) and then drag the desired transition from the bin to an edit point each time you need it.I don't know of a way to have 2 default transitions.
