FCP 7, Snow Leopard, and XDCAM....is it safe yet?

We're looking to upgrade our edit systems. Are most of the "new version" kinks worked out to make it worth while to move up from FCP 6 and OS 10.5 up to FCP 7 and OS 10.6? I know FCP 7 has some features that we need.

Working great for me.

The only issue I'm having is with large speed changes using the new timeline dropdown speed keyframes. When changing speed from 300% or more to 100% or less I get a stutter frame on the key frame.

I should add that that is a fcp7 issue, not an OS or codec issue as it occures on both my leapord based tower and on my snowleapord mbp.

A search of the forums will provide plenty of info on your question, as it has been asked many times.

if you do a clean install of both the os and fcp it's safe. I work with the same setup and since the last updates of XDCAM Transfer everything works as it should.

Zane, thank you so much for your helpful response. Do you have XDCAM equipment in your editing system?
