I had an editor that has some footage that might have been shot 16x9 SD. When he looks at the item properties while right clicking the footage ont he timeline it says DV/DVCPRO. He was wondering if this footage is HD or SD. The may be HD. Please assist. Thanks.

That indicates SD. It could be 4x3 or it could be 16x9 anamorphic however. You need to check/uncheck the anamorphic checkbox in the FCP browser to see which looks correct.
