AVC for H.264?
on Feb 2, 2010 at 6:51:59 pm

I'm trying to figure out how to export a Standard Definition 10 Bit Uncompressed commercial from FCP that will be distributed via ADN electronic delivery. This is new to me and their specs are very specific and I'm not sure if I have the codecs I need or if I should try to export via quicktime or compressor. Any thoughts would be welcome.

ADN SPECS
• General
• Format : QuickTime
• Format/Info : Original Apple specifications
• Overall bit rate : 29.5 Mbps (10 Mbps minimum for H.264)
• Writing library : Apple QuickTime
VIDEO
• Format : Digital Video (AVC for H.264)
• Bit rate mode : Constant
• Bit rate : 28.8 Mbps (8 Mbps minimum for H.264)
• Width : 720 pixels
• Height : 480 pixels
• Display aspect ratio : 4:3
• Frame rate mode : Constant
• Frame rate : 29.970 fps
• Standard : NTSC
• Colorimetry : 4:1:1
• Scan type : Progressive or Interlaced
AUDIO
• Format : ADPCM
• Format profile : U-Law
• Codec ID : ulaw
• Bit rate mode : Constant
• Bit rate : 384 Kbps
• Channel(s) : 2 channels
• Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz
• Resolution : 8 bits

1) Is there a general AVC export option? I haven't found one...
2) I don't have the ADPCM U-Law audio codec as far as I can tell. Is that a free resource?

Thank you.
