Using Google Earth...
on Jan 22, 2010 at 10:19:50 pm

Does anyone know how I can incorporate google earth in a project edited in FCP? I saw it used on a TV show on A&E the other night which gave me the idea for a project I am working on now. After I downloaded google earth version 5 to my desktop, I noticed I could record from within that application. Not sure if I can save it as a QT file and use in FCP though. If anyone knows that would be great!

Thanks!!

You have to buy GOOGLE EARTH PRO. And then if you intend to use this map on the air, you have to pay broadcast rights fees. We did this ourselves a couple years back.

Interesting. I might use this as well. Does it allow you to fly in, move around, etc., and save as a QT file ready for import on an HD formatted TL?
