Codec: Timecode?
on Jan 21, 2010 at 3:17:43 am

Hello,

Does anyone know what the time line is for? When I look at the info of one of apples trailers or ads you get Codec: H.264, AAC, Timecode but when I prepare my short movie I dont get the Timecode?
I am trying to get as close to apples quality as I can, so any pointers would be great.

Many thanks, Gavin.

Drag your encoded H.264 file into the browser. Double click to load into the Viewer.
Go to the Modify menu and select "Timecode"
Enter the starting timecode of your timeline"

Done.

Hi Gavin,
Time Code is a tool that helps to keep things in sync, but not a factor on quality.
Most part of the part is a requirement, but makes no much sense in a video for a web.
John have explained very well how to add it to your clips.
Cheers,
Rafael
