Mixing footage
on Nov 25, 2009 at 8:30:37 am

Hi

I have some footage shot on a PD-170 and footage shot on a EX-3 (1080p30) I have to combine them in the same project.

My output is going to be 720x480 or 540. for the web.

What are my best sequence settings and how should i change the footage of each to match?

thanks for any advice!

Hi Anthony,
Drop everything in DV NTSC (720x480, Lower first) sequence and change the codec to Prores.
If the PD-170 is Anamorphic, make the sequence Anamorphic.
Before rendering/exporting, set "Render in High Precision" and "Motion Rendering: BEST".

Bring them both in as ProRes then edit, then just export to Compressor to make your web stream.
