scaling multiple clips

Hello, newbie here in fact I am new to final cut studio 2 and to macs in general. I WAS a PC guy working with Sony Vegas but here is my question. I have a client that I did a power point recording for. The recording was on a firestore portable so my files are multiple clips plus the power points are multiple images. what I am trying to do is to use wireframe to scale everything to fit to screen. I have been doing them individually but since this client has multiple presentations a month. there has to be an easier way.

....as long as they are all the same size and just need to be resized (all the same) resize one, then right click and choose "copy". Once you have the rest of them you need resized on the timeline select them all and right click and "paste attributes" choose only the "basic motion" check box and click OK. Now the Motion attribute "scale" should be good on everything you had selected.

Hope this helps.

oh thank you so much. It works great. I searched the manual from nesting to grouping but this way works best for what I need it for

Glad I could help. You know.... if you are new to FCP... or have been on it for years.... http://www.lynda.com has TONS of video tutorials (beginner and advanced) and for $20/month you can have unlimited access to them all. I signed up a few months ago and have been really surprised at what I have picked up. There is so much to all of these programs. Always something more to learn, no matter what your experience.

Good Luck!

Great little tip here - I had never thought to use paste attributes to scale multiple clips, I had only assumed Nesting was the way to go.

Thanks for the tip!
