cs4 aaf import question
on Oct 30, 2009 at 3:46:09 am

Has anyone had any success exporting an aaf made in premiere cs4, and importing it into final cut pro through automatic duck?

Why would you export an AAF if you want to go to FCP? That's not an FCP format.

FCP prefers Quicktime.

aaf is just metadata containing the ins and outs of the time line(like an edl), the source files would be r3d files.

Then you would probably be better off exporting an XML or an EDL. Why fight to make one thing work if something else already works.

I appreciate your response Arnie, but my question was not how do I get my timeline over to fcp. I am interested in people's real world experiences with adobe's aaf being read and translated by automatic duck.
