Problem with different formats on same sequence
on Sep 25, 2009 at 4:13:29 pm

Hello!

Well, this is my first question on the cow's forum, so i really thank your help.

Well, the problem is this:

I have a sequence on HD, and I have 2 clips on it, one its on HD and the other its on standard, so both have different size, differente frame rate and different format. So, when I do that, and I play it for make a master on betacam, the video run at different time than the audio, so i cannot make a master on that computer. How do I fix that?

Thanks a lot for your help! :D

Convert one format to the other. Since you are going to Betacam, then convert the HD to be SD. And make sure to convert to the frame rate to 29.97 (NTSC) or 25 (PAL)...depending on where you are located.

The only things you really shouldn't mix on an FCP timeline are clips with different timebases.
