Mountain Lion and Photoshop file saving anomaly
on Sep 28, 2012 at 4:24:14 pm

We have a recurring problem and it seems to be related only to Photoshop CS6.
We're running Mountain Lion 10.8.2 and the latest version of Adobe CS6.
After creating a psd file or tiff, we do a save to an Xsan server and we can't see it in the finder. But after revising we go to do an overwrite and the adobe dialogue says that the "file already exists. Do you want to replace it?" (So the file IS there.) But when you say "Replace", you get the error message "Could not save because of a disk error."

Also, when I set Finder to see invisible files, the file is not simply invisible. It must have a cloaking device!
This problem is the same on all 4 of our systems.
Does not happen with After Effects project files or renders.
Nor with Illustrator.
And not all of our photoshop applications have exactly the same sets of plugins. Although they do share most.
Our temporary solution - we save to the desktop and then move the file over to the server. If it was just a server permissions problem, I would expect this problem to happen with other software as well.

Anyone else encountered this problem? Any solutions.
