most of my searches on FCP7/lion compatibility produce fairly old results dating back to the onset of Lion. I was wondering if folks using FCP7 , besides it just running, have encountered any major glitches since upgrading to Lion. more frequent crashes, plugin incompatibility, etc. Hows if the overall performance of FCP7 on LION OS? - thanks :D

Mine pretty much runs the same. 2 systems, one AJA and one BMG. The Blackmagic one occasionally loses audio sync and needs a restart - I think it's a driver issue though.

I wouldn't go back to Snow at this point. I like Lion. It's a good kitty!

Thanks John. I'm looking to purchase another Mac but know it will come loaded with Lion. I always try to stay current... but it was the FCPX issues that I thought might cause some incompatibility. Maybe Lion and FCPX came out independently and not necessarily FCPX built for Lion?

Late response- Ive had no issues so far with FCP7 in Lion.

Incidentally no- FCPX WAS built for Lion, and I dont think the issues youve been reading about are more than possibly small glitches because its in first release stages. However what most professionals would call an 'issue' is the fact the FCPX is pretty awful in terms of what it lacks..... but there are debates all over the net about that :D
