Hi guys,

I use FCP and therefore OSX, but find I am constantly tidying up after my mac as it seems to pollute any PC/phone/non-osx device with all these ._files which basically make it twice as hard to find anything.

Is there some way of preventing this from happening?

Thanks,
Mark.

after digging around some, it seems there is a 3rd party app which will constantly run in the background of my macpro/macbook pro to prevent it fouling up my PC's - nice there is an app, not so nice to have some app always running to prevent it... so if there is any other way you guys know of, Id be very pleased to know about it.

ps the app is called BlueHarvest and find it HERE

You can install Tinker Tool which lets you customise all sorts of things in OSX. There is an option in there called Don't Create hidden .DS_Store files over a network Connection.

I think it just changes hidden settings in the system so I don't think it runs all of the time.

Thanks Conrad,
I will have a look at that.
Cheers
Mark.
