You can use the very well made Elo touch screens with the Mac. They do not have any )S X drivers at this point...but I was told that they may be coming by an Elo rep. Perhaps if you ad a voice to my request via email etc., it may bump up their motivation. They can sure write a driver, they just haven't released anythjuing yet to the public. The only other choice is to use the rediculously expensive driver for USB Elo panels by a company called Touch-Base (http://www.touch-base.com/main.asp?item=23). The cost is absolute highway robbery ....and you can tell 'em I said so!! If you get a good deal on an Elo panel, it could offset the cost.
The minute Elo gets a driver out for OS X, I am buying one of their touch panels!! I am dying to set one up as a UI for iTunes running on a Mac Mini!
I encourage everyone interested in a Mac OS X touchscreen to write to Elo! Let's show them there is a market for a touchscreen solution for the Mac! Think of the possibilities!
