Tiger password problem.

Well I haven't forgotten the password, the Mac has forgotten it.

Running Tiger (latest version and updates) on a Mac Mini. Had this computer for 2 months and have loaded on a few bits of software etc, each time it asks for my password, which I enter and all is fine.

However, today for some reason the Mac refuses to accept my password, which is easy to remember and is all lower case. It simply says "Wrong password". I try again and after three attempts it says to try later.

I know for a fact 100% that I am typing in the right password, the caps key is not on and I have tried everything, to no avail.

I don't really want to spend the day reinstalling the OS and all my software and backing everything up etc so what can I do??

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

http://www.apple.com/support/tiger is your friend. A 15 sec. search yields this possibly useful information:

Mac OS X: Changing or resetting an account password

Includes info for resetting both user and Administrator accounts.
