I'm asking cos I'm wondering if it's OK if I've got a hand going over a face (for both shots motion morph). Should I place the hand masks above the face masks? Or it doesn't matter?

Cheers

Does not matter, because we just warp/morph as if one big rubbery sheet.

If you need to have the hand absolutely be in front of the face, you might attempt to perform the morph in layers (yes, that means roto!)

Awesome!
Now, where's the Auto-roto Button?

😉
