How do you apply twixtor to pre-time remapped clip in Premiere Pro?
on Oct 13, 2015 at 9:46:39 am

Hi all - I've got some clips in a project in Premiere Pro CC which I've applied time remapping to, with various speed ramps which slow it down considerably. This was done with the time remapping and key frames built into Premiere Pro.

Now I want to smooth out the clip using twixtor, but when I select twixtor from the effects pannel and drag and drop it onto the clip, it doesn't make any difference. I am not adjusting any of the settings in twixtor - they're all set to standard with speed at 100%.

So I deleted the twixtor effect, right clicked on the clip and selected "replace with after effects composition". This brought the clip into AE where I selected twixtor from the effects pannel, dragged and dropped it onto the clip, and it worked perfectly without adjusting any of the twixtor settings.

I could carry on doing this for the other clips but it's a long winded way round when it should work the same from Premiere Pro as it does in AE.

- is there something I can do to make it work in Premiere?

cheers
