I have a scene where I am trying to show:
1.Particles hitting a point of resistance
2. Slowing down but still passing through point of resistance
3. Speeding back to normal speed after passing through point of resistance
The problem is that I need to this to be a continuous action throughout the duration of the simulation.
If I keyframe the wind/air resistance it will only work for one moment rather than for every particle "over life"
to slow down once they hit that part of the scene and then accelerate after they pass through the invisible field.
Have you tried the spherical field for this? It can push or pull particles. You could pull particles into the field, and the center point would act as the resistance point.
A more precise tool is the motion path where a light's path is used to control the path of the particles. You can animate the light to do the same slowing down and speeding up, and all the particles will do the same along their individual life span.
