Blending trapcode with cinematic shots and frame rates

So I've got a project at 29.97 but it contains some footage at 24fps that looks cinematic as far as frame rate, how it was finished, etc. I've got the sparks in trapcode integrated pretty good and looking nice, but they just look too darn smooth, probably from the increased frame rate and the fact that it's generative, etc. I've got the motion blur looking right, was hoping I'd find something in the render settings about emulating frame rate or other such 'dithering' types of tools but no such luck.

Can anyone point me in the right direction here?

David

My first inclination would be to create the comp at the original 24 fps, put your Trapcode effects there, render at 24 fps and import it to the final 29.97 fps comp as footage.

Also, a slight blur and adding film grain (to Trapcode layers only) would likely integrate the effects better.
